       Country Scene was founded over 30 years ago and is based in Newark on Trent, a great historic town. With a fabulous selection of independent shops and mouth watering eating places for lunch, our 'home' is nearly 700 years old (constructed in 1338) and we offer a unique shopping environment with beautifully made clothes from throughout Europe, carefully selected with the specific demands of the local area in mind. We are now air-conditioned. We pride ourselves on our service, friendly but certainly not ’pushy’ as our many loyal customers will testify. We specialise in sizes 10 to 20, stocking wearable clothes from great fitting jeans to occasion outfits for weddings, graduations, cruises etc. The core of our business is ‘smart casual’ clothes that will hopefully form the backbone of your own wardrobe.
